MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Mid-South children and parents, some in pirate attire, came out to the Pink Palace Museum Sunday to hunt for treasures galore.
Kids enjoyed storytelling, music, food and pirate-themed adventure at the annual COMEC Treasure Hunt.
The day also included free facepainting and arts and crafts activities.
"Everyone gets a great prize," said organizer Shawn Sandy. "There's a lot of stuff to do on the lawn. We have Memphis Fire here, we have an ambulance here. We have all these great vendors. We have entertainment. It is the best family value you can pretty much purchase."
The fun-filled family day raised proceeds for a great cause: every penny will go to the Commission on Missing and Exploited Children.
