J-Will Could Still be in Grizzlies Future

Posted: Updated:

The Battle for Backup Point Guard with the Memphis Grizzlies is getting a crowded field.

The Commercial Appeal reports former Maryland star John Lucas the 3rd, along with Gabe Pruitt and Mike Taylor worked out this week for the team.

The 6'4" Pruitt, who was recently waived from a crowded backcourt situation with the Celtics, might get the closest look.

He has the size to play either the point or the Shooting Guard positions.

Former Grizz Guard Jason Williams is back on Memphis radar.

J-Will worked out for the Knicks last week, but has yet to reach an agreement on a contract..making him open for negotiations with other teams.

Now 33 years old, Williams, also known as White Chocolate, took a year off last season, he says, to help his wife through a difficult pregnancy.

J-Will last played for the Miami, helping lead the Heat to the NBA Championship in 2006.
