Associated Press - November 7, 2009 11:54 AM ET

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - The state Court of Appeals will hear arguments in two cases Nov. 19 on the campus of Mississippi State University in Starkville.

The hearings will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Hunter Henry Center.

The Appeals Court periodically schedules oral arguments on college campuses. Judges usually talk to the students afterward and answer questions. Judges will not about the cases themselves.

The cases to be heard are:

A boundary line dispute involving property in Starkville.

Brian Keith Martin's appeal of his 2008 manslaughter conviction in Copiah County. Martin, a paraplegic confined to a wheelchair, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the stabbing death of John Welch. Prosecutors say Welch was stabbed in the Hazlehurst home he shared with Martin and Martin's mother.
