2 suspended from high school over video, threats

Associated Press - November 10, 2009 10:45 AM ET

ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A judge has banned two students from a high school campus in Rogersville after one was accused of circulating a video of a cat being stabbed. The other boy is accused of threatening students after his pal was suspended.

Hawkins County Juvenile Court Judge Jay Taylor ordered both 17-year-olds to stay away from Cherokee High School until criminal charges against them are resolved.

The Kingsport Times-News didn't identify the youths, but reported one was suspended last week after circulating a cell phone video that appeared to be him repeatedly stabbing a cat, then stomping on its head.

The second boy was suspended on Monday after - becoming upset by comments about his friend - was accused of threatening to return to school wearing a ski mask, saying he would "show everybody."
