FBI joins investigation into Pearcy deaths

Associated Press - November 19, 2009 7:34 AM ET

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The FBI has joined the investigation into the deaths of 5 people found shot in their homes in Garland County.

Four bodies were found early Nov. 12 in the rubble of a burned out mobile home and the body of a man in a home next door. The man has been identified as 80-year-old Edward Gentry Sr.

Gentry's burned pickup truck was found in Hot Springs.

Garland County Sheriff's Lt. James Martin says he's still waiting for the crime lab to identify the four found in the burned mobile home.

Martin says investigators have had dead-end leads and calls the case aggravating. He says FBI agents from Hot Springs began working the case Tuesday.
