LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas highway officials are exploring the possibility of adding tolls on Interstate 40 between Little Rock and the Tennessee border. The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department authorized the toll study as part of an evaluation of how improvements can be funded.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A former Little Rock police officer is to be tried next month for the shooting of a teenager he suspected of burglary. Josh Hastings was fired in October after Chief Stuart Thomas concluded he violated department policies related to a June burglary and the August shooting death of Bobby Moore Jr. Hastings has pleaded not guilty.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities are questioning a man accused of climbing over the fence around the Arkansas Governor's Mansion and entering the grounds. Arkansas State Police say the man scaled the fence last night. He was quickly arrested by the governor's security detail.

FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - A historic building in Fort Smith has been spared from its scheduled demolition. Propak Logistics founder and president Steve Clark announced this week he plans to restore the century-old Friedman-Mincer building on Rogers Avenue. Propak intends to use the top two floors of the structure for office space.
