Justin Hanson is the West Tennessee reporter for Action News 5 at 4, 5, 6, and 10PM. 

Justin joined the Action News 5 team in February 2006.  Prior to shooting and reporting his own stories for WMC-TV, Justin served as assignment editor for Action News 5.  As assignment editor, Justin acted as the air traffic controller for the Action News 5 newsroom (both day and night).

Prior to getting a job a WMC-TV, Justin served as news reporter and anchor for WKBJ-TV / WKBL-AM / WKBQ-FM in Covington.  During his three year career in Covington, Justin gathered, shot, edited, and reported stories from across Tipton County.  He was also the noon dee-jay and sold radio and television advertising for the family of stations. 

Justin has a BA in English from Christian Brothers University in Memphis.  Justin is also a member of Sigma Tau Delta.  He interned at Action News 5 during his college career at CBU. 

In his spare time, Justin serves on the music staff at First United Methodist Church in Covington, Tennessee. 

Justin is a West Tennessee native.

He loves covering the stories and meeting the people of Memphis and the Mid-South.
