MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Actress Cybill Shepherd has sold her Memphis home, and her furnishings were sold Saturday at an East Memphis garage sale hosted by her brother.
Items included a solid teak entertainment center from Bali, an oil painting of a young Shepherd, and - just for laughs - her grandmother's bedpan.
"We're hoping to do a sitcom around this whole thing," said brother William Shepherd. "We're gonna pitch it as a TV series where she hits bottom and has to sell all her stuff and buys a roadhouse down in Mississippi and runs a juke joint."
The Memphis native already has a home in Los Angeles, and she's about to purchase another in New York.
Her brother said owning a home in Memphis was no longer practical.
