CLEVELAND, Tenn. (AP) - A man has been convicted of especially aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault for the abduction of a woman who accepted a motorcycle ride from him.
James Ray McClinton will be sentenced Feb. 5.
The 44-year-old woman said that after the ride began last April, McClinton put a knife to her throat and held her against her will at his Bradley County home until the next day when she escaped while he cooked breakfast.
According to the Bradley County sheriff's office, he has been in custody since his arrest.
