ATHENS, Tenn. (AP) - A former deputy court clerk has been indicted in East Tennessee on a charge of stealing cash from the office.
The Daily Post-Athenian in Athens reports that agents arrested 49-year-old Tina Snyder of Athens after she was indicted on an official misconduct charge.
The indictment accuses Snyder of taking between $10,000 to $60,000 from the McMinn County Circuit Court clerk's office.
Snyder's family has told the newspaper that she had personal issues with the clerk that led to her firing and the investigation.
Snyder is free on bond pending a Nov. 30 court hearing.
