CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Chattanooga say a human body has been found in the Tennessee River.
A kayaker reported finding the corpse Tuesday afternoon near Moccasin Bend.
Police and rescue team members located it in brush along the north bank of the river.
A police spokeswoman identified the remains as those of 39-year-old Christopher John Friberg of Chattanooga.
Officer Rebecca Royval said the medical examiner will determine the cause of his death and the autopsy was expected to be completed Wednesday.
