Kindergarten teacher charged with sexual assault

A Mid-South teacher is in trouble after police say she had sex with a 17-year old student.

The accused teacher's husband turned over a tape of an alleged affair. But it's who the husband says his wife slept with that has everyone in one Arkansas town talking.

The 25-year-old kindergarten teacher also taught hearing impaired students at a church in Marmaduke. She is now out of a job and facing felony charges.

Monica Ann Cluck is charged with sexual assault in the first degree. The Greene County Sheriff's department also charged Cluck with contributing to the delinquency of minor.

She is accused of having sex with a 17-year-old boy at a church in Marmaduke where she was a Sunday School teacher and choir director.

Cluck was the choir director at the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke. She taught the Singing Hands Sign language class at the church.

The pastor said she has resigned. "Everybody is pretty upset," said Pastor Kim Bridges.

Bridges said the church is investigating trying to find out exactly what happened. "We're just praying. Everybody is praying about it."

According to a sheriff's department report, Cluck's husband found a videotape of his wife with the 17-year-old.

It showed the teenager drinking alcohol. Investigators say the 17-year-old admitted having a relationship with Cluck.

Monica Cluck would not give a statement to investigators.

Cluck was released after her arrest without bond. A spokesman for the Greene County Sheriff's told me the case is still under investgation.
