YOUR TURN: Upset about red light cameras

Updated: Dec 6, 2009 09:18 AM CST

This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Otha Farris. Farris is hopping mad about the new red light cameras that the City of Memphis installed.

In his words:

"These red light cameras are ridiculous. My wife just got a $50 ticket out of the mail. The vehicle is completely stopped. You can even see her brake lights are on, yet she has a ticket for running the red light. I have one coming also. I inched past the first pedestrian line and the camera flashed. I am awaiting a ticket for running that line. Please, let me know what ordinance I violated and how that constitutes running the red light. These cameras are nothing but a revenue generating tool. If I have to pay hundreds or thousands to hire an attorney to fight this, I will.  This is absolutely ridiculous."

That's Otha Farris's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
