MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Action News 5 held a fund drive Tuesday to help the families of fallen West Memphis Police officers Brandon Paudert and Bill Evans.
There was a steady flow of traffic as donations poured in. Donations were taken at the Action News 5 building at 1960 Union Avenue and the West Memphis Walmart at 798 West Service Road.
Bill Evans' son, Dylan Evans, thanked the community for their outpouring of support.
"I want to say thank you to the community for holding us up in prayer and helping us out and lot," Evans said. "I really want to show my gratitude for my father's brothers in blue for showing up at the funeral and the visitation, it means a whole lot."
One-hundred percent of the money goes to the families of Sergeant Brandon Paudert and Officer Bill Evans.
