MEMPHIS, TN -

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - The Memphis Grizzlies donated over 500 backpacks and school supplies Wednesday to students at the Soulsville Charter School.

The funds for the backpacks and supplies were raised at Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins' 'Bowling for Backpacks' event.

"To see that they have goals and they are moving towards those goals - that's what it's all about," Hollins said.

The Bowling for Backpacks program has raised thousands of dollars worth of school supplies for Memphis children since the program started in 2003.
