This week's "Your Turn" goes to Theresa Mynatt. Mynatt is extremely unhappy that the Memphis City Council cleared the way for the demolition of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church. Council members approved a plan to allow CVS to build a drugstore on the site.
In Mynatt's words:
My heart is broken thinking about another beautiful building being torn down in Memphis. Does the city council think two drug stores within a half mile radius in Midtown are not enough? If a city council member thinks dancing on a pole at an official function is OK, it does not surprise me that demolishing a historic building is acceptable. We get what we deserve when we allow these fools to run this city.
That's Theresa Mynatt's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
