This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Paula Hamby. Hamby was happy to hear that Tennessee lawmakers are considering tougher laws to regulate the owners of dangerous dogs.
In Hamby's words:
About your report on the proposed state legislation to protect citizens from dangerous dogs, I would certainly support that. Over the past five weeks, two pit bulls have come into my yard attacking our dog while it was being taken out of the house on a leash. The owner of the dogs has been told after the last incident to keep his dogs at home. Today, I looked out to see the same two pit bulls running through the yards across the street. The owner was not out and did not have either one on a leash. It's terrible to be a prisoner in your own yard because of irresponsible owners of vicious animals on the loose.
