MEMPHIS, TN -

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - There was a sea of purple downtown Friday as hundreds of FedEx employees stocked the new FedEx Family House.

More than 200 hundred FedEx employees dressed in purple turned out this morning to deliver furniture, supplies and accessories to put in the new house, which provides a home away from home for families with children in treatment at Le Bonheur's Children hospital.

"We have 190 kids in the hospital, and about 20 families need a place to be, and because of the from FedEx and your willingness to come and stock this, the Inn will never be closed again," said Le Bonheur President and CEO Meri Armour.

Monday, while FedEx celebrates its busiest day in history by ringing the New York Stock Exchange bell, a total of 400 FedEx boxes stuffed with toys, books, and games will be waiting under the tree at the new FedExFamily home.
