MEMPHIS, TN -

Congratulations to the University of Memphis Tigers basketball team and their coach, Josh Pastner. As a community, we love our Tigers. Coach Pastner is understandably proud of what his team has been able to do this season, but he is also excited about the team's relationship with the people of the Mid-South.

You see the evidence of that in every neighborhood, but Coach Pastner is a statistics guy and one statistic he's quite proud of is fan attendance. Average home attendance for the Tigers at FedEx Forum this year averaged nearly 18,000. And it's not just the numbers. Pastner compares Tiger Nation support here to the passion of the Packers fans in Green Bay.

The Memphis Tigers basketball team is a young one this year. We've got a young coach and our players are the youngest team playing in the NCAA Tournament. We're hoping that just means this will be the beginning of a long and wonderful ride.

Go Tigers, Go.  We're with you all the way.

That's my turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
