Emergency Shelters currently open in the Mid-South

(WMC-TV) - The following emergency shelters have been opened to assist people that have been evacuated from their homes due to flooding:

  • Cummings Street Baptist Church – 250 E. Raines Road (map)
  • Hope Presbyterian Church – 8500 block of Walnut Grove (map) - CURRENTLY FULL
  • Millington Civic Center - 8077 Wilkinsville Rd, Millington (map)
  • White Station Church of Christ, 1106 Colonial Road, Memphis TN
  • Faith Baptist Church, 3755 North Germantown Road Bartlett, TN
  • First Assembly of God, 511 North Missouri Street, West Memphis, AR
  • 8th Street Mission, 717 E. Broadway, West Memphis, AR
  • G.W. Henderson, 1165 Abbay, Tunica, MS
  • Dyersburg First Assembly of God, 730 East Court Street, Dyersburg, TN
  • Second Baptist Church, 831 Everett Blvd., Union City, TN
  • Reelfoot Youth Camp, 4304 Kendall Rd., Hornbeak, TN
  • Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, 70 North Bellevue

As new shelters are opened across the Mid-South, we will add details and location information to this page.


The shelters are only asking for this list of donated items, so only bring the items listed. All donated items must be NEW and in ORGINIAL packaging:

-Nice CLEAN towels & wash cloths (don't have to be new, but don't bring junk. Must be clean!!)
-Socks for kids, adults.. New
-If you have un-opened "Hotel" bottles of shampoo or soap, that will work.
-Wal-Mart / Target gift cards
-Baby Blankets
-Tooth brushes individually packed
-Body wash
-General First aid supplies- Band-Aids, Tylenol, alcohol, peroxide, toms .. etc
-Sanitary Pads/tampons
-Baby Diapers Size 6,0-3,2t,3t,4t,5t
-Baby Formula Carnation or Gerber "Good Start Gentle Plus"
-Shaving cream
-Baby Food
-Baby Spoons
-Baby Bottles
-Baby Nipples
-Baby Pacifiers
-Baby Wipes
-Baby Shampoo
-Baby Lotion
-Baby Powder
-Baby Wash
-Baby Bottle Brushes
