MEMPHIS, TN -

This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Suzanne Burgess. Burgess is concerned about all the flooding in the MidSouth. She saw the story on Action News 5 about city officials looking for volunteers to fill sandbags. Burgess thinks she has a better idea.

In her words:

As far as asking for volunteers to fill sandbags, why don't they use the ample supply of jail inmates and trustees to do this job as a type of social repayment? This would be restitution for the wrong that they have done to and within the city of Memphis and state of Tennessee.  They are available and should do this extremely important job.

That's Suzanne Burgess's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
