Woman pleads guilty in 2009 deaths of two young children

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A Memphis mother charged with child abuse and homicide after her two toddler children died in a fire when they were left home alone has pleaded guilty.

Melodia Dunn's house caught fire - with her children inside - on October 19, 2009.  Her two young sons had been left home alone, and died as a result of that fire.

After pleading guilty in criminal court, Dunn received a 14-year sentence that is suspended with probation, officials said.

She has been released into a mental health facility.
