MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - An Arlington school teacher charged with having sex with three of her students has been fired, school officials said Thursday.

Shelby County Schools spokesperson confirmed the termination of Stacy Hopkins in a written statement.

Hopkins last appeared in court on Monday to answer a charge of having sex with a third Arlington student.

She had already been arrested earlier this month on charges of statutory rape by an authority figure.

According to an affidavit of complaint, Hopkins' ex-boyfriend reported that, after her first arrest, a third student came forward.

That student claimed their sexual relationship began early this year, and each incident took place at her Cordova home.

In the earlier case, investigators believe Hopkins texted nude pictures of herself to the students.  The students also admitted to having sex with her.  The complaint did not say where that happened.

Hopkins has been charged with a total of three felony counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

She is out on bond and is scheduled to go back to court on June 2.

Hopkins started teaching at Arlington High School nearly six years ago.
