Memphis is on the Move:Event updates May 27-29

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Memphis is on the Move this Memorial Day Weekend and there are lots of events taking place here is a preview.

You can head down to Graceland as they host their 2nd Elvis Presley Car Show. Log on to elvis-dot-com to find out how you can sign up to show your classic off during the show or for more information.The free event is open to everyone and ends Sunday May 29.

Voices of the South will host the 6th annual Memphis Children's Theater festival toady with an opening celebration at 5p.m. at Rhodes College. The all day festival event begins on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. You can visit voices-of-the-south-dot-org for more information.

The Sunset Symphony Kicks off Saturday at Tom Lee Park. The all day family fun event begins at 3p.m. and includes an air show, fireworks show, featured guests and of course the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Log on to Memphis-in-may-dot-org for schedule information.

Saturday is also International Blacksmith Day- and it's FREE DAY at the metal museum with demonstrations and hands-on activities beginning at 10a.m. You can also check out the Art Cooker Show on display through July 24. The art cooker show brings together lots of different artists that show off their creative skills as they transform ordinary cookers into works of art.
