MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - As we approach the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attack on our nation, we're all reminded of what this event meant for our country and how our lives have been changed ever since.

There are many different ways that people will observe this anniversary. For example, in DeSoto County, first responders will transport an American flag throughout the community to honor the 411 first responders who lost their lives rushing to help others at the World Trade Center.

One simple observance for all of us will be Sunday at noon when we have the opportunity to Stop and Remember those who lost their lives in the attacks. WMC-TV will be participating in this Moment of Remembrance with a minute of silence on our station precisely at noon. We hope at that time you'll be able to hear the sounds of church bells ring throughout our area as we honor those we lost on that day. It's a simple gesture this Sunday and we urge everyone to participate.

That's my turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
