MEMPHIS, TN -

This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Roy H. Coates. Coates is upset about how much money the University of Memphis is paying its former and future football coaches. The last two coaches and the next one collectively may be earning more than $2 million next year.

Here's Coates' letter:

My, oh my. Reading the Commercial Appeal this morning on the ex-coaches' salaries made me sick. They are getting paid for not doing their job and getting fired. If I got fired they would show me the door. What really gets me is that the mayor cut the policemen's salary by 4.6%. I know this is from two different pocket books, but tax dollars are in there somewhere. I won't go to another University of Memphis game, period.

That's Roy H. Coates' turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
