Michael is thrilled to be back in the Mid-South covering the stories of the great people in North Mississippi.

Before coming to Action News 5 in February 2012, he was the night reporter in Lubbock, TX.

He's excited about going back to pulled pork after nearly two years of barbecued beef brisket.

While in Texas, Michael covered the arrest of a national terror suspect, the disappearance of teenager Hailey Dunn, and the state's worst drought which led to the 2011 West Texas wildfires.

He got his first chance to report as an on-air intern for WLOX in Biloxi.

Michael graduated from Ole Miss in 2010 and feels at home in the Magnolia State, even though he's from Atlanta.

Since he's finally around water again, he and his Chesapeake Bay retriever can't wait to explore the best fishing spots the Mid-South has to offer.
