(WMC-TV) - Many of our viewers are sounding off this week about the practice of some employers who are asking for Facebook passwords from their new job applicants.

On the Action News 5 Facebook page, people are almost unanimous in condemning this practice. We chose a letter for this week's "Your Turn" Melanie Oest.

In her words:

"Not a chance. I wouldn't want to work for a company that found that acceptable, so them asking me for my Facebook password would make it clear up front that the job isn't a good fit for either of us, and I'd terminate the process right then and there. I don't have anything at all interesting on my Facebook page. Two of my current bosses, my pastor and my mother are all my Facebook ‘friends' by my choice, however I don't find it necessary for an employer to have the right to have access to my page as a condition of employment."

That's Melanie Oest's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
