This week's "Your Turn" segment comes from the Action News 5 Facebook page, where people are debating the story about the Gibson County teenager who wore a prom dress that resembled the Confederate battle flag.

School officials did not like that idea and refused to let her attend the prom. On our Facebook page, some people liked the prom dress; others did not. We chose a letter from Kristen Hodge.

In her words:

"The Rebel Flag is a part of history that should not be forgotten, which is what it seems like most people would rather do. I don't think it was inappropriate but I do think that she should have put more thought into what she was getting herself into. She had to have known that some people were going to be offended and that other's wouldn't care."

That's Kristen Hodge's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
