(WMC-TV) - Memphis police are still looking for the man who led officers on a high speed chase Monday night. That chase was captured exclusively by Chopper 5.
The suspect is one of three men wanted for a theft at Bed, Bath and Beyond on North Germantown Parkway. Police said the car used in the chase was stolen from the store parking lot. Two of the men bailed out of the car and were arrested. The driver kept going.
After chasing the gray Toyota Camry on Interstate 40, Chopper 5 continued following the driver as he swerved between cars on I-240 west. From I-240, the driver got off at Mount Moriah Road and turned right on Knight Arnold Road.
The driver pulled off of Knight Arnold Road into Medora Cove. That is where he bailed out of the car and left the car running. The suspect looked up at Chopper 5 as it hovered over him. He jumped the fence into the Windsor Place Apartments.
At that point, Action News 5 let the Memphis Police Department know what Chopper 5 captured since the chase was called off.
A group of men standing around the Windsor Place Apartments said that they saw the shirtless suspect run by them, but didn't know what was going on. At this time, the suspect is still on the loose.
We are working to post the exclusive video from this high speed chase. Check back shortly to see the chase caught on camera.
