The Search for the Bain Sisters: Timeline of the Investigation

April 27th: Jo Ann Bain was last seen leaving her Whiteville home with her three daughters, 14 year-old Adrienne Bain, 12 year-old Alexandria Bain and 8 year-old Kyliyah Bain. We now know this Is the day Jo Ann and Adrienne were killed.

April 30th: The family's S-U-V was found in Hardeman County, Tennessee, not far from the family home.  The same day, surveillance cameras captured suspect Adam Mayes with a new haircut at a market in Guntown, Mississippi.

May 2nd: A warrant was issued for Adam Mayes. At the time, he was wanted for lying to investigators.

May 4th: A Tennessee Endangered child alert was issued for the three children.

May 5th: An Amber Alert was issued for the girls.  The same day we also learned two bodies were found in shallow graves behind Mayes Alpine, Mississippi home.

May 7th: Investigators began digging for new clues in backyard of Mayes' Alpine, Mississippi home.  That night, the bodies found in that backyard were identified as Joann and Adrienne Bain.

May 8th: Adam Mayes wife, Teresa and mother Mary, were charged with crimes connected to the kidnapping.

May 9th: Adam Mayes and his wife were charged with murder.  The same day Adam Mayes is added to the F-B-I's ten most wanted list.
