MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – The sentencing for the Cordova teen convicted of raping his baby sister was reset by a judge for the second time.

James Prindle, who was 15 years old when arrested back in 2010, was found guilty in June 2012.

The now 17-year-old teenager raped his 23-month-old sister in August 2010.

The case stirred up support from all over the country from people who said he did not have anything to do with his sister's assault.

Investigators say Prindle was babysitting his two younger siblings at their apartment when some other boys came over. The toddler was assaulted and they fabricated a story about a home invasion to cover it up.

The other boys were adjudicated to juvenile court.

Prindle had the chance to speak at his last court appearance, but he chose to remain silent.

When he is sentenced, Prindle will have the option to speak in court.
