MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - He served as a volunteer Shelby County reserve deputy from 1994 to 2007.

He also worked for Shelby County fleet services for 19 years, but now he's in jail on a sexual battery charge.

People on Coral Hill Drive in Bartlett were dumbstruck Tuesday after learning their neighbor had been arrested for aggravated sexual battery.

Joey Camp accused of inappropriately touching a juvenile. Investigators say the incident happened about ten years ago.

Bartlett police have declined to release any further information about the case because they're still investigating and believe it is possible there will be more victims and additional charges.

Camp was a Shelby County employee from 1993 until he resigned Tuesday.

He worked in the fleet services department, making the county's fuel key cards and keeping the county's fuel records.

"Joey was a nice fella to work with," said Steve Shular, Shelby County spokesman. "He was very helpful out at the shop. But of course there are other things that are happening sometimes and we'll just have to see how the criminal investigation pans out."

County officials say they will cooperate with any investigation as needed.

Camp is currently being held at the Bartlett jail on $50,000 bond.
