MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Action News 5 has updates concerning those grounded Memphis police helicopters.

This morning, The Commercial Appeal reports that at least one of the choppers could return to the sky Thursday.

Another will return Friday after undergoing thousands of dollars in repairs.

The department's four choppers are grounded. One of them has been out of service since it made a hard landing back in May of 2010.

Also, two other helicopters have not been in the sky for more than a year, and the fourth chopper was grounded this month.
