(WMC-TV) – A Tennessee lawmaker is apologizing for an offensive email he sent out.
The email promoted a conspiracy theory that President Barack Obama plans to stage a fake assassination in order to stop the November election.
That email was sent by the office of Republican representative Kelly Keisling of Byrdstown, Tennessee, the Eastern end of the state.
Keisling says the message was inappropriate for distribution, and he pledged to be more cautious about what comes out of his office in the future.
