North Mississippi -
(WMC-TV) - A Mid-South man accused of robbing a North Miss. bank did not get very far. Police arrested the 39-year-old man shortly after he robbed the bank, but the suspect led police on a chase first.
Authorities say Marlon Thomas, who is from Memphis, robbed a New Albany Bancorp South branch. Thomas handed the teller a note.
Police say Thomas led them on a chase along highway 78 before crashing his car and then running into the woods in Potts Camp.
The chase ended with a take-down caught on camera.
Authorities went into the woods and, and with the help of a dog¬ they found their man.
Officers said he was found hiding in the woods near Potts Camp, with money spread all around him.
They put Thomas in the back of a truck, and took him back to the police officers who were waiting along the highway.
And this was not Thomas' first run in with the law. We're told he has an extensive criminal record.
