(CNN) - Legendary singer Stevie Wonder filed for divorce from his second wife, Kai Millard Morris, Friday.
The 25-time Grammy Award winner's representative released a statement confirming the news.
He said Wonder is asking the public and media to respect his family's privacy at this time.
Wonder and Morris have been married since 2001. They have two sons together.
