HOLLY SPRINGS, MS -
(WMC-TV) - A Dodge Ram pickup truck crashed into a building in Holly Springs, Mississippi, causing serious damage.
The crash happened at the Holly Springs Regional Office of the Mississippi State Division of Medicaid on J M Ash Drive.
"I was in my office which is in the back and I heard what appeared to be an explosion," said Cheryl Brewer, who works in the building.
That explosion turned out to a truck crashing through the wall, stopping just in front of a glass customer service counter.
About 15 minutes before the crash, employees say the lobby was full of people taking care of business.
"They had already been cycled through the office so that's just a blessing that nobody was in here," said Brewer.
There were 15 employees in the building, but nobody was injured.
Witnesses say the woman was pulling into a parking spot, but instead of stopping, she accelerated. They say the woman seemed dazed and upset, but otherwise, unharmed.
Kenney said it appears the truck was pulling into a parking spot.
The office moved into its new location on J M Ash Drive just two months ago.
The Medicaid office was closed for a few hours Monday. It reopened shortly before 3 p.m. It will be open during its regular business hours Tuesday.
