MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV)- With the holiday weekend, many of you might be wondering what to do and how the weather could affect events around the city.

If you are looking forward to having fun with the family, hit up the Delta Fair.  The fair will open Friday afternoon and will last through Sunday, September 9. The Delta Fair director said they all show times are going on as planned, so far.

For the adults, the Memphis Zoo is kicking off the holiday weekend with Zoo Brew rain or shine. Guests will celebrate the final brew of the summer with one-of-a-kind beer tasting event with beers from around the world, live music, and great food.

At Zoo brew, there will be a "rock the rain gear" contest. The winner will receive dinner for two at the Hard Rock Café and free passes to any event at the café.  Also, the first 300 guests will get a free rain poncho. Tickets are $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers.

Don't forget about the Memphis Music and Heritage Festival on September 1st and 2nd.  There you can enjoy musical artists such as Al Kapone, Denise LaSalle, Billy Gibson, and more. This event is free and open to the public.  It will go on rain or shine.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd concert scheduled to happen Friday at the Memphis Botanic Garden has been postponed until Wednesday, September 12.
