For the third night in a row, protesters with the Occupy group have made a nighttime march into the Queen City to protest during the Democratic National Convention.
The march from Marshall Park began around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
Nearly 50 people were a part of the march, which is marching towards 5th street after passing near the Bank of America stadium.
By 10:40 p.m., the group had stopped three times and shouted in the faces of police officers.
At one point, members of the group laid down in the middle of the street near the intersection of 4th and Tryon Street and formed what they called a "cuddle pile."
Protesters returned to Marshall Park just before 11:40 p.m.
Around that same time the march started, officials confirmed to WBTV that President Barack made a surprise visit to the Time Warner Cable arena in uptown Charlotte, ahead of former President Bill Clinton's speech to wrap up the second day of DNC speeches.
The announcement followed a chaotic few moments where security officials and Charlotte Fire Marshals locked Time Warner Cable Arena down just after 8:30 p.m.
