Muddy's gourmet cupcakes with those clever names and flavors are just what the doctor ordered.
"I got caught one time saying I was getting my kids some Prozac (chocolate on chocolate)," said Bartlett's Sabrina Stanfield. "Had to explain that a little bit."
It's a cupcake, not an anti-depressant. But it might as well be a drug.
Customers are addicted to Muddy's cupcakes, pimento cheese sandwiches and baked goods.
Add cleanliness, too -- because Muddy's just earned the High Score of the Week with a 98 on its health inspection Sept. 5.
"We're a clean-as-you-go crew," said Muddy's Manager Jamie Jurkins. "The second you are finished doing something, you clean it up."
Customers clean up at the cupcake counter, ordering a Strawberry Lemonade, Plain Jane or a Pucker Up.
Scorecard fans named the bakery's cupcakes one of the five best desserts in the Mid-South in 2010 (for that Scorecard, please click here).
Muddy's staff also bakes and decorates custom cakes and pies. While there, I had a slice of the Chocolate Dream Pie, a chocolate cream pie with a shot of bourbon.
