ANDERSON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

The body of a Smith County man who was reported missing about two weeks ago has been found in Anderson County.

On September 10, Adam Palacios was reported missing by his sister, Amy.

She told officials it was not uncommon for Adam to leave the area for several days without communicating with friends or family. However, Amy told officials he had been gone longer than normal.

At that time, Adam was listed as an official missing person.

Smith County Investigators began their search for him.

Continuing to follow leads, investigators discovered Adam's body in a remote area in Anderson County.

Due to the condition in which his body was found, the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Both Smith and Anderson County Sheriff's Offices are working to apprehend the person or persons responsible for Adam's death.
