BARTLETT, TN -

(WMC-TV) – Two women are wanted for beating up another woman and trying to run her over after she reprimanded them for leaving a dog in their car.

Now, Bartlett police need your help tracking down the suspects.

The victim in this case said she saw the puppy left locked alone in the car. When she tried to do something about it, she paid dearly.

Bartlett police released two surveillance photos in hopes that someone can help identify the women involved in the aggravated assault. They could also face animal cruelty charges.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Bartlett Wal-Mart.

A shopper noticed a puppy locked inside of a car. When she confronted the two women about the dog, she told police one of the women pushed her, punched her, cursed at her, and then told a friend to run her over with the car.

The victim had bruises and cuts to her face. The suspects drove away.

Investigators say they have exhausted all efforts trying to find them and they hope that someone will recognize the women and turn them in.

The car had the Tennessee tag number C48-17T.
