HOLLY SPRINGS, MS -

(WMC-TV) – It may look like all monkey business in Marshall County – but one monkey has become the center of a multi-million dollar lawsuit.

"Told me he'd handcuff me in front of my kids and call the welfare department to come get them if I didn't turn the monkey over," said Sharon Campbell, who was forced to give authorities her daughter's pet monkey.

Now, Campbell is suing the Marshall County Sheriff's Office for $2 million – and is fighting to get her monkey back.

But we are not just talking about any monkey. This monkey has ties to Hollywood, which is what makes her such a hot commodity.

Action News 5's Janice Broach will bring you the entire story Friday on Action News 5 at 10 p.m.
