MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - On the eve of the Memphis Grizzlies Season opener basketball fans got a special treat.

Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley purchased 500 tickets and gave them away in the Grand Lobby at FedExForum Sunday afternoon.

Conley wanted to add the excitement of the season and make sure Grizz Nation is pumped for another season of grit and Grind action.

Conley says the fans enthusiasm is what makes FedExForum one of the toughest buildings for opponents to visit.  He wants that atmosphere to carry over to opening night and the rest of the season.
