(WMC-TV) - A 19-year-old is dead and two others are in the hospital.
What was a massive scene slowly began to clear at Kirby at East Raines Wednesday
The scene was certainly emotional, many were comforting each other with hugs.
Memphis police said they got the call at 3:20 p.m. and responded to a two car accident.
A Ford Explorer flipped and ended up on its driver's side.
The other car appears to be a two-door Honda Civic though the make and model are not readily evident because firefighters had to cut up the car during the rescue.
A 19-year-old was declared dead on scene, the body was removed around 5 p.m.
One went to the hospital in critical condition and another person went to the hospital in non-critical condition.
MPD traffic investigators are on the scene to try to determine what caused this car wreck.
Bystanders say they've heard one or both of the cars may have been racing, but that is not confirmed.
