Bank robbery suspect caught clear as day on surveillance cams

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – A bank was robbed near a busy shopping center on Poplar Avenue Monday afternoon and the suspect was caught on camera.

The robbery happened at the SunTrust Bank near the Poplar Plaza Shopping Center.

According to police, a white man went into the bank and pretended to be a customer. When he got to the teller, he indicated he had a weapon and demanded money.

Once receiving money from the bank teller, he ran away on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 5'6" to 5'8" tall, with a thin build. Police say he is in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing a brown, long sleeved shirt with a Ducks Unlimited logo on the front and a black hat that said "Cleveland Golf" on it.
