DESOTO COUNTY, MS -
(WMC-TV) - A Mississippi boy, who is in critical condition after a DUI crash that killed his father, is getting support from people all over the Mid-South.
Ever since 6-year-old Ryan Brigman was involved in a deadly car crash with his dad, bracelets have been selling out on Facebook as people continue to show a huge outpouring of support.
People from nine different states have been buying the bracelets to help Ryan and his family.
The DUI crash in the Love Community just south of Hernando severely injured Ryan, but it killed his father, Timothy Brigman.
The Love Volunteer Fire Department is selling the "Banding together 4 Ryan" bracelets for $2.50 and they are going fast.
"The first 500 came in and they sold out. We ordered 900 more. They sold before they got here and now we're a little over 3 thousand bracelets," said organizer Shawn Witt.
"I think it's important that everybody comes together and support Ryan and his family. There's so much they have going in right now, hospital bills and everything else. If everyone helps out that'll be one less thing his mom had to worry about," said Jennifer Duckworth, who purchased 10 bracelets.
The bracelets even have a scripture on them, from Psalm 41:3.
