The Covington Chargers were hoping to put the exclamation point on their perfect season with the Class 4A State Championship...but Fulton had other plans.

It couldn't have started any better for Covington.  Daiqu'on Norfolk getting things started with a 51 yard rumble that would end with a Johnston White 8 yard score to put Covington on top 7-nothing.

Norfolk leading the Chargers with 113 yards rushing.

The Chargers would have a 14-nothing lead after 1 quarter, but that was all they got.

D.J. Campbell returned an interception 55 yards and a forced fumble as Fulton scored 39 unanswered points to beat Covington 39-14.

Covington finishes the season with a 14-1 record.
