After five infant deaths and reports of more than 70 falls, the federal government is making a move to stop sales of a popular infant recliner.

More than 100,000 Nap Nanny and Nap Nanny Chill recliners have been sold by Baby Matters since 2009. The product is designed for sleeping, resting and playing.

Now, the Consumer Product Safety Commission has filed a complaint against the company.

It seeks a court order requiring the company to notify the public about the defect and offer consumers a full refund.

According to the CPSC, babies have fallen out of the shaped foam base even when the three-point harness was used.
